      @jongold It was the Golden Age of Apps. I was on the peripheral but I miss it frequently. Apps could just be cool apps & not everything was intertwined with doom in some way.

    @jongold The majority of my projects—including the ones without an immediately-apparent connection to upcoming crisis, like organizing hackathons—all tie back to my bleak projections of the future & the one I want to build instead. It’s crazy.
